The Mark 5, formerly the Deck 3, is back as a 3-piece! It began life in the early 90’s as a brass heavy-weight, when we manufactured the Deck series for Orfeo Music. It’s based on a deep bowl (Rose style) with an unusually large bore – 9.52mm (.375″). The originals were made with larger Euro shanks but you have the choice of either American or Euro with this set-up.
Please order both the Deck 3 cup and select either an American or Euro shank.
Regarding ordering a rim: use the standard depth rims with the Mark 5 to give the identical depth of the Deck 3.
Additionally, for those who like to experiment, the MK5 cup is compatible with any of the following screw shanks: Symphony, Grand, Symphony X, Freelancer, Hitz, Helleberg, and Hersey.
